Description

TIB ®  HIV Ag/Ab Rapid Test is an in vitro, visually read, rapid test for the qualitative for the simultaneous detection of antibodies against Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Type 1 and Type 2 and HIV-1 p24 antigen in human serum, plasma, and whole blood (venous and fingerstick). This test uses a sandwich-based immunolateral chromatography technique to qualitatively detect.

It is intended for use as a point-of-care test to aid in the diagnosis of infection with HIV-1 and HIV-2, including an acute HIV-1 infection, and may distinguish acute HIV-1 infection from established HIV-1 infection when the specimen is positive for HIV-1 p24 antigen and negative for anti-HIV-1 and anti-HIV-2 antibodies.

Storage

Store at room temperature (preferably 2℃~30℃) up to the expiration date printed on the package. Keep cool, dry and away from lights.
The test card should be in an aluminium foil pouch before opening and used within 1 hour in the specified environment after opening.
